The internet provides an overabundance of fashion inspiration. From Pinterest to Tumblr to individual blogs and Who What Wear, there is never a shortage of fresh ideas in the sartorial department. Instagram is a great source, too. But, everyone is already following the likes of Sarah Vickers and Blair Eadie. Looking for some new inspiration? Here are my picks:
1. Robin van Crabb
A self described “life-sized American Girl Doll”, Robin van Crabb is completely adorable.
What to Expect: Plaid kilts, impeccable costumes, chunky sweaters.
2. Julia Engel
Julia of Gal Meets Glam has a knack for blending current trends with effortless personal style.
What to Expect: lustworthy handbags, bohemian elements, gorgeous photos of San Francisco.
3. Krista Robertson
I’m always impressed by the way Krista makes traditionally Southern prep outfits blend seamlessly into New York’s fashion aesthetic. Also, being a fellow Kentuckian doesn’t hurt.
What to Expect: bold prints, J.Crew classics, ways to look cute in a sports jersey.
4. Chiara Ferragni
First things first, Chiara Ferragni (of The Blonde Salad) has the most fabulous hair. Her outfits are pretty great, too.
What to Expect: edgy tomboy style, bracelet stacks, subtle femininity.
5. Elena Perminova
Elena Perminova is this incredibly enigmatic person who I find so interesting. All I know is that she is a Russian former model, married to a billionaire who rescued her from jail (?!), and now posts delightful images from African safaris and lavish children’s birthday parties. Also, she has a degree in Economics and is completely gorgeous.
What to Expect: unbelievable travel photography, selfies in couture, private jets.
6. Hipster Hijabis
You may have seen this account making its rounds across the internet lately and for good reason! I love how the hijab pulls all of these outfits together, but I also love that everything is totally wearable and chic regardless.
What to Expect: effortless elegance, maxi skirts, flawless draping
7. Bess Pearson
I love the way Bess mixes bold prints with simple sweaters and subtle accessories. Of all the “preppy style” blogs/Instagrams I’ve seen, she is the one who is able to look cute and modern while staying true to the basic principles of the traditional prep style.
What to Expect: popped collars, Lilly Pulitzer, docks and boats.
