It’s so strange to say it, but I’m about to start my senior year of college! This is officially my last Fall semester and it’s actually kind of sad. There’s nothing like returning to campus in autumn with new books, empty notebooks, and an actual desire to spend late nights in the library working on some assignment that is far more appealing in theory than it is in execution. Over the past few years, I’ve acquired a bit of wisdom when it comes to school supplies—what you should have, what doesn’t really matter, etc. The biggest thing I should stress is the importance of having supplies you love. People always say that having cute athletic clothes will inspire you to exercise more. The same can be said for academics. I swear by the idea that having a stack of good quality notebooks and a set of pencils from Mackenzie’s shop can actually make studying/working on assignments rather fun. Of course, looking at Instagram photos of neatly organized desks is another good source of inspiration, as mentioned by Amy V. Norris.
First things first, you must have a planner. For me, that means pre-ordering the Lilly agenda every June and anxiously awaiting its arrival so that I can fawn over the layout updates and new stickers.
Here are some other things that will have you yearning for study dates and productive midnight library stakeouts.
