Quaint Shops & Historical Ships

I returned to campus yesterday and spent today walking around town with my lovely roommate. We stopped by the marina to check out two historical ships that came all the way from Spain and have docked in town to celebrate the city’s 450th Anniversary. The “El Galeón is a replica of the vessels that traveled the coasts of Florida between the 16th and 18th centuries, transporting men, goods, culture and ideas, creating ties between America and Europe” (Link) and the second ship, the Nao Victoria “is a replica of the first ship to successfully circumnavigate the world”. The ships were gorgeous and surprisingly big! After the marina, we walked through some of the back streets, which are full of cute shops and B&Bs. Here are some photos from the day:
