All of my favourite bloggers have been raving about the new Kate Spade lookbook, and with good reason! I’m not usually fond of the “trendy librarian/nerd” look, as it seems to take a style of dress that is refined and rich in history and turns it into something vulgar and garish. But, in this case, I think Kate Spade has really pulled it off! Here are my favourite products:
1. Claremont Drive Marcella – Perfect Brown (Link)
This is great for the fall semester. Perfect size, perfect style. Plus, this bag is lined with a really cute fabric which reminds me of an ice-cream sundae.
2. The Portrait of a Lady Book Clutch (Link)
Kate Spade’s book clutches have been a favourite of mine for while, but a Henry James one pushes me over the edge.
3. Rumer Dress (Link)
I mean, come on!
4. Becky Coat (Link)
A puffer coat never goes out of style.
5. Briella Coat (Link)
This coat is an outfit maker. Fabulous and functional, perfect for winter.
6. Opening Night Short Spray Necklace (Link)
This necklace works for just about any level of formality. I can see it being worn with jeans and an oxford on the weekends, with a blazer and skirt at work, or a cocktail dress to the ballet.
7. Two Tone Tortoise Gramercy Mini (Link)
So obsessed with tortoise shell.
8. Grenada Flats (Link)
Possibly my favourite item on the list. I feel like these flats are the perfect blend of Kate Spade’s contemporary, feminine look with the trad look that I love so much.
9. Dictionary iPad Folio (Link)
I will always prefer books to e-readers/tablets, so this could be an interesting way to find balance.
10. Brightspot Avenue Stacy – Peony Pink (Link)
This sure would look nice tucked inside that Marcella bag…
